Getting a good night sleep will make a big difference to tackle your daily activities. Therefore, you should know things to help you sleep better. Sleep in a dark room
A dark room will help you to fall asleep faster. You can try to turn off the lamp around an hour before your sleeping schedule. A sign of light, be it small or big, will affect and stimulate your brain to stay awake. Therefore, sleeping in a dark room is recommended if you want to get better sleep.
Avoid disturbing sounds
Disturbing sounds such as the sound of TV that is too loud or there is a construction going on around your house might affect your sleep quality. Some things can’t be avoided so you have to use a tool to get better sleep. You can try to install sound dampener around your bed. Make sure there are no crevices that let the sound go through your room. If your neighbor creates such noises, you can ask them to turn it down a little bit.
Keep the room cool
Room temperature is everything when you are going to sleep. Good room temperature will keep your body warm in cold weather and cool in hot weather. Comfortability is the key to get a good sleep so you can turn on your AC or fan to keep your body cool. The ideal temperature to sleep is around 15 to 21 degrees Celsius. But, some ACs might have a slightly colder output so you might adjust that based on your need.
Position your head and body well
When you are about to sleep, you should pay attention to the positioning of your body and head. An ideal position is to make a straight line on your neck and waist. You can use a pillow to support your knee and make the waist sit on a neutral position. If you still feel uncomfortable and have difficulties in getting to sleep, you can try to change the pillow.
